To the Wed. Gr. 7-8 class......
If you took the initiative to try out your proposal for 'extra challenge' to a teacher at your home school, please share your experiences here. Although I would like to hear both positive and negative 'stories', I will remind you to please exercise diplomacy here - no teachers' names nor any comment that could be interpreted as hurtful should be included. I'll thank you in advance for this professionalism. As always, I look forward to your comments!

My teacher was very excited about it but we haven't started actually doing anything-School has gotten VERY busy with teachers cramming us with assignments before report cards.........
I'dlove to ask for extra work from my teacher and would enjoy math class a whole lot more, but I'm afraid of what others will think. Also, lately on my math tests, for some mystical reason I have not been getting perfect, even though it is ridiculously easy?!
Ouch! Not perfect?! If it's not horrible, you'll still be fine- off.

Um, by the way, I'm from the Tuesday class! I was just wondering if I should take the challenge too, that's all!
My teacher was really quite fine about it. She even pointed out some extra worksheets that she had stationed around the room, although seeing as we have plenty of homework in Math I am usually just trying to complete that before I actually have to do it at home... unfortunately not trying anything new. Oh well. I can try new things at home I guess.
It worked for me...my teacher now lets me and my friend (you all know her...one guess...she loves mini-skirts) do the extra work sheets in class, and we don't have to do any of the in-class work. Only the tests and big projects!
Congratulations Drama Star! I am THRILLED that you and A.V. have managed to work out this 'deal' with your teacher! Good for you for taking the initiative to make this happen! Keep me posted!
